My family sort of cooperated with me, they found the family history book, and gave me all the info I already had and was told I didnt need any more information than that

Thanks to Tami, I was able to find Great Grandma Anna’s Passenger Record, Name of the Ship, Her fathers name, and other vital information to help me on my journey. I still have no idea where K. Speretua is, could it be in Hungary it says her ethnicity was Hungary and Slovak?

Today, June 11, 2009, I MIGHT have had a big break in the genealogy research…I might have found a living relative of my grandfathers, his wife, Thelma Irene Keith. I was lucky enough to find this information on genealogy.com in a post by Mike Wallace.

Yesterday, June 10, 2009, I found four US Census documents all featuring my grandfather’s family. Which is a big break through in the research front after the big wall I hit a couple weeks ago. As for the Michaleks I have yet to even find them listed in a Census, saying that is strange would be an understatement

There seems to be more information that I can find at least on my grandfather’s family than I can find on my grandmother’s side. Which is strange. I never met my grandfather, and yet I seem to know more about him than I do my grandmother.

A couple of weeks ago about at the end of May 2009, I found letters written from Dick Zabka to Mildred “Toots” Michalek. In Total 12 Letters, in all the letters he mentions coming back to Tyndall, SD, getting married to Mildred, and picking corn on his parents farm. In a couple of letters he mentions Vernon, Melvin, Dallas, and Betty Sheilds{Pee-Wee}. I also found out he had a sister, brother and that his parents didnt like that he was going to marry Mildred.
